I had used Bubble Boys before and they were excellent, so I booked them again for a full interior detail on my Tesla Model Y. I also had a set of full-coverage wraparound Wittamatts for the Y and the install is nothing like dropping in a regular floor mat. Seats have to come out, multiple pieces have to be fitted through the cabin, and the worst part is the videos online make it look easy. It is not. It really takes two people.
I called several places asking if anyone would install them. Nobody said they did. I asked Bubble Boys almost as an afterthought, figuring it would be a side job if anyone there even wanted it. Maria checked with Ruben, he knew exactly what they were, and he said he would do it for a nominal fee. It was a fair price for three or four hours of careful work on top of the detail.
They picked the Model Y up at 8 a.m. and graciously waived the drive fee. Ruben’s plan was to detail first so the floors were clean, then install the mats right away. Maria kept me posted all day through text so that took away the uncertainty. Ruben steam-cleaned the carpets until they were flawless, then spent the extra time fitting the Wittamatts properly because he wanted the install perfect. Before he brought the car back he bolted the seats down and cleaned the windows, glass, and door jambs.
The vacuuming, seat shampooing, steam cleaning, and interior scenting were all done thoroughly. As before, I was extremely happy with the results. The interior looked and smelled great, and the Wittamatts were fitted exactly the way they should be. Payment was simple and collected over a private Square link, and they told me not to pay until I had seen the finished results. Bubble boys detailed two very soiled (a decade of grime!) vehicles for us--and made them look and smell like brand new. Communication was clear, pricing was reasonable, and the cars were truly immaculate upon pick up.
